The gentleman of the Oscars red carpet definitely showed up when it came to fashion risk taking. We’ve made our nominations for best dressed. Check them out, then tell us your thoughts!

EDDIE REDMAYNE

Eddie Redmayne always brings his A-game when it comes to award show dressing, and his Oscar tux was no disappointment. Eddie stepped out in a velvet skinny-fit tux with high peak satin lapels by Alexander McQueen. The mix of materials like velvet, satin, and wool made for the perfect amount of texture, and really brought this look together.

BRYAN CRANSON

Some may consider Bryan Cranson an unexpected contender for the Best Dressed title. His red carpet style evolved quickly over the past few years, and we have to say we’re pleased with the results. Cranston took a major risk with his satin digs, but we think he pulled it off. His jacket was single-button and he too wore a classic black bow tie. Another added surprise? Cranston rocked a black and gold bracelet as well. This bracelet was worn by a handful of Oscar attendees in support of the #ENOUGH cause. Men forget to accessorize a lot, and the Oscars are the time to do it, so cheers to you Mr. Cranson.

ABRAHAM ATTAH

Cranson wasn’t the only star sporting an accessory in the name of an important cause. The 14 year-old matched his stunning Dolce and Gabbana three-piece tuxedo with a pair of custom made TOMS. According to TOMS, Attah’s shoe choice resulted in the donation of 10,000 pairs of shoes to children in his home country of Ghana. Though we saw quite a few other stars wearing slippers on the red carpet, we have to say Attah did this look the best, and did good for the world at the same time!

JACOB TREMBLAY

Another kiddo with a killer outfit was 9 year-old Jacob Tremblay. This kid was rocking an Armani Junior tux with a small peak lapel. He matched the tux with high-shine shoes and a classic bowtie. He added his own personal style to the outfit with Darth Vader socks and Millennium Falcon cufflinks. Jacob gave us the perfect example of taking a classic and traditional look and making it your own. We’re excited to see what this guy serves us on his next red carpet.

JIMMY NAPES

If you’re asking us, Jimmy Napes won both on and off the red carpet last night. He stunned in a deep emerald velvet jacket like nothing else we saw this year. He made a statement with a white dress shirt with striking black buttons, a black bowtie, and a white pocket square. He paired the tux with slip on high-shine oxfords and his sleek and modern glasses. Overall, we give this look an A++

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO

Speaking of winners, we can’t forget about our boy Leo. He dressed for success, and it certainly paid off. Leo won his first Oscar ever in a classic Giorgio Armani Made to Measure tux. This tux may not appear out of the ordinary, but Leo honored tradition by dressing in a black tuxedo when taking the stage. He also chose red-bottom Louboutin lace-ups to accompany his timeless look. He definitely won’t regret his decisions when he looks back on this night for years to come.

RYAN GOSLING

Another notable gent was Ryan Gosling. We couldn’t help but notice that this guy just can’t go wrong. Gosling was outfitted in a single button Gucci get up, and he was one of few to wear the classic white shirt, white bow tie combo. We think he made it work, and we applaud his subtle fashion risk.

CHRIS ROCK

Lastly, there would be no Best Dressed list without mentioning Chris Rock. His custom Burberry tux was tailored to perfection with shawl style lapels and a single button. The fit was so flawless that no other person could look as good in the same jacket, and the contrast of the black bowtie brought the entire look together. He finished off the ensemble with Christian Louboutin shoes, the perfect cherry on top (pun intended).
